Plato's Words
Plato once said "You can learn more about a person in an hour of play than in a day of conversation." Just how true are these words? I asked several people over the course of a long time about it. I asked what the best way to read a person's character is, getting many results. One person suggested observing from a distance. Another said just talk to them. A third, however, strongly supports the quote. A group of guys told me that the best way to read a guy's character is to play hockey with him. They told me that how a guy interacts with other people shows a lot about the kind of person he is. It shows how well he can control himself, how much of a team player her is, and even how humble he can be. Obviously, Plato's words are true...just listen to the 3 a.m. ramblings of various hockey players!!

You know, guys don't sit around disscussing their world veiws. You have to be a guy to get what they mean, because the sentence "Hey, I made that slap shot and you know it! Jerk..." has much more meaning then, say, "I think the world needs to become more smart."
So, Plato's theory or statement, still leaves the girls in the dark. (He knew what he was talking about.)
hockey is good.
i prefer to think that to get to know a person you have to get to talk to them, but watching how they do stuff is a good idea too. but evie is right too, whatev

We built a hockey rink out back once, that was the only time I've played. Great fun! We dyed it blue with packets of koolaid. Pretty stinking cool. heh.

I'm feelin that my blog is extrememly shallow...i guess i better think of sumthin deep to say
Hockey is a good example, but it's not the ultimate character test... Basically, what it comes down to is, you have to see how a person interacts in a private setting with just a couple people, and in a public place.
How this person responds to everyone in various situations will reveal his/her character.
Basically, I'm saying don't assume it's hockey alone. Nor that just one meeting can bring you someone's complete character.
And even that theory is tossed to the wayside when the person is determined to keep you guessing. Anyone can tell when you are trying to analyze them, especially if you dog thier steps and ask them personal questions. Just ask any of the analyzing sem/collage students I know... heh heh heh
