Word of the Day

tragical
adj : very sad; especially involving grief or death or destruction

I prefer to use tragical in a different manner. Tragical is when two people SHOULD be together and aren't for any reason. This is especially true if they would probably end up married and living happily ever after under different circumstances. The only saving grace is the hope that one day circumstances will change and they'll both see the light and still have time to live happily ever after. For anyone who doesn't know, happily ever after stories are the best kind.

...and Evie, before you begin to lecture, this isn't about me, its about people in general. I KNOW i'm too young to be worrying about all this stuff!!

Ah, grief. The center and focus for so many works of literature. The focus of so much personal heartache, pain, and suffering. For some, grief needs to only last a day.

For some, a lifetime. For those greiving, happily ever after will either seem like an impossibility, or will be the light at the end of the very long tunnel.

But whether or not there's someone to greet you at the end of the tunnel, well, there is no guarantee for that.

Have a sunny day,
Chuck.

What exactly is happily ever after, anyways? Music in the background, butterflies and birds following you around and a state of perfect accord or what? Is it something you even want to have? They never tell you what happens in that happily ever after... We might all be setting up for a dissapointing enlightenment.

You Americans just loooooove making up words, changing spelling, and really just developing your own language.

"Tragical" is not a word, people! Though it will appear in dictionaries, it's only because the word "tragic" (the actual adjectival form of 'tragedy') was butchered, so the rest of world figured they'd add it to avoid confusion.

The same thing can be said for words like "aluminum" (really 'aluminium') and "check" (really 'cheque').

Oh, why did I apply to school in your crazy country?

Nice post though, Erika :-)

Chaz, ur just jealous YOU didn't think up tragical!! lol, i do tend to make up words though, even if this one IS in the dictionary ur prolly right. Our "crazy country" does have a few good schools, maybe thats why you applied? Nice to see you around again!!

Scarlett, its not MY fault I spell bad...I think I got dropped when I was little or something;-) I'm sorry ur sad my dear...if you ever need ne1 to talk 2 let me know!!

Petunia, great to see you here, too!! I'd have to agree with Scarlett on this one. If I'm in control stuff is gonna be VERY messed up. As for getting mad at stupid people, I'm pretty sure I'd have a LOT of people mad at me!! I can be VERY stupid sometimes, and if people don't forgive that then...idk, but i think we'd all be in a LOT of trouble!!

Hamlet and phantom, great to see you guys. Phantom, it's been awhile!! I love both your "poetic" quotes!!

Hey Hammy, you were s'sped to let ME speak first, and then you could say that Shakespeare already covered it...

Some actor, always messing up our lines. Well, here's mine anyways:

So far as my interest in time is concerned, this has led me towards trying to work on a geography of the precognitive realm, on what shows up in the half second or so between action and cognition.

Don't you beleive in the providence of God? Whatever happens to you, or whatever circumstances you are in are all the way they are supposed to be, because God said so. If you're not with the person you want to be, then so what anyways.

I like your blog.
