Tragedy

I have tragic news this late night hour. It seems that my beautiful Betta fish named Pedro has passed away sometime during today. Details about the death are sketchy, but he is no longer with us. I'm very sad at his loss, though I am glad I don't have to worry about cleaning his tank anymore. He was a wonderful fish, given me for a birthday present last May, as some of you may remember. He shall be missed. Flowers and condolences can be sent to school...I'm there endlessly lately anyway!!

So, life didn't vote for Pedro?
(sorry.... ^_^)

Sorry to hear about the fish. I once had a parakeet, Bertha, who was as every bit friendly as the name suggests. I wasn't one bit sad when she died. But that's just me.

I'll be sending flowers and condolences in spirit. ;)

I feel so sorry for you... I have shared the same fate... over the years, because of my unluckyness (and a fish's short life span) about 25 fish have left hopefully happy from their ten gallon home... right now, the sole survivor, a 1 and a half year old 10 cent goldfish, lingers to keep these precious memories alive, swirling her tail this way and that, sweeping with her tail the invisible paths of those who departed...
yeah.... touching huh?
buy a new one.
Long live the Celloist in the Cellar!!!!

My mouse died a few years ago. We were close- so close that if I tried to hold him he had to sink his teeth into me :p

I think that you are too attatched... I say flush the little chunk of gills, scales, and poop. That's what I do.

you know, fish have a three second memory span... k, course you did. everyone knows that. so then, he lived a happy life, of constantly forgetting that he already knew the limits of his boring little fish bowl, being poked by lindsay, and being fed by erika. so i conclude this case by saying, erika, it is all right to grieve. as it seems you have. not dont worry, just get a new fish

Scarlett, thanx for the moment of silence. it was just what I needed. I don't think I really want a new fish. I loved Pedro dearly, but he was a pain in the butt!! And dear, u MAJORLY owe me an email!!

Chuck, apparently not!! 'tis sad, but 'tis true. I appreciate the flowers in spirit...its the thought that counts, anyway:-) And yes, Linz's horrid abuse of Pedro may well have had an effect on his demise.

Celloist...u got a blog!!! I'm so excited!! as soon as I have time...SPRING BREAK...i shall add you to my links. Your story was quite touching, and your flushing advise all too practical. I did indeed flush poor Pedro.

Linz, ur a FISH killer!! How COULD you?? And we DON'T have a large oak u fruitcake!!

Bonnie, nice to see u...i haven't in ages!! Thanx for the sympathy. lol about your mouse, too. I had a hamster like him once:-)

All of u guyz...I never did get any REAL flowers...whats WRONG with u ppl??
